The Pompidou Centre was the maximum exponent in the Sixties vanguards and still is a great place to see some of the best contemporary art in Paris. They open at 11 a.m. and the queue is quite long, but less than half hour, so it's ok. It's closed on Tuesdays. You can take pictures of everything you see, but without flash. I am still furious about the Valentino exhibition and the fact that they didn't allow taking pictures!
El centro Pompidou fue el epicentro de las vanguardias de los anos sesenta, y aun es uno de los mejores lugares para ver arte moderno en Paris. Abre a las once de la manana y la cola no es demasiado larga, pero al contrario que el resto de los museos, cierra los martes y no los lunes. Puedes hacer fotos a todo lo que ves, pero sin flash. Aun estoy cabreada cada vez que pienso que en la exposicion de Valentino supuestamente no se podian hacer fotos.

Me parece un edificio precioso, horrible en su momento y mágico ahora, es curioso ver cómo envejece la vanguardia hasta convertirse en algo rancio. Además tiene el punto de ser el sitio donde Yves hizo la retrospectiva del 2002, su último desfile.

Very cool. I really like modern art. Whenever museums don't allow pictures I still sneakily try to take some. What are they going to do--kick me out? I have to leave sometime anyway!
Such stunning photos, I've heard of this Yves Klein blue, some designers have used this colour in past collections.
Oh cool! I did art history courses in my first couple years of college so I recognize the Duchamp and Yves Klein pieces but I don't recall seeing the Rhino one before.
